Light, sound, and moving image reshape architecture into shared perceptual experience.

Biography

Bruno Ribeiro is a French multidisciplinary artist and creative director working across light, sound, architecture, moving image and interactive systems. Through his independent practice and STROBOSCOPE, he creates installations and large-scale audiovisual experiences that transform built environments into shared perceptual events.

His work ranges from intimate investigations of the human hand and artificial intelligence to monumental public commissions, kinetic light structures and immersive cinema. Across these formats, technology functions as material and narrative rather than spectacle alone. Voice, movement, projection, spatial sound and architectural light become ways to make invisible forces felt.

Ribeiro's projects have been presented internationally at Noor Riyadh, Llum Barcelona, Fête des Lumières Lyon, Signal Festival, the Dôme des Invalides and Cosm. In 2025 he founded STROBOSCOPE, a creative studio dedicated to immersive experiences. He is represented by ATRBUTE.

Practice

Bruno Ribeiro creates immersive environments where architecture becomes an active participant in the experience. Working with light, projection, sound and digital media, he composes installations that transform familiar spaces into places of wonder, reflection and sensory discovery.

Rather than using technology as spectacle alone, Ribeiro employs it as a storytelling medium. Monumental façades dissolve into shifting narratives, light reveals hidden spatial relationships, and sound deepens the emotional resonance of each environment. Whether presented within historic landmarks, museums or public spaces, his works encourage audiences to reconsider the places they inhabit through moments of illusion, atmosphere and shared experience.

His practice spans projection mapping, scenography, immersive installation and audiovisual composition, bringing together artistic vision and technical precision to create experiences that are both architecturally ambitious and emotionally engaging.

MOLTEN Perspective

Bruno Ribeiro understands that immersive art is ultimately about transforming perception rather than demonstrating technology.

While projection mapping and digital media form part of his creative vocabulary, the true strength of his practice lies in the way he reshapes our relationship with architecture and space. Buildings become living canvases, light becomes narrative, and familiar environments are temporarily reimagined as places of curiosity, emotion and collective experience. His installations reveal that immersive storytelling can emerge from the dialogue between physical structure and ephemeral media rather than from technology alone.

For festivals, museums, heritage sites and public commissions, Ribeiro offers an approach that combines technical sophistication with genuine emotional depth. His work demonstrates how light, sound and architecture can come together to create memorable experiences that invite audiences not simply to observe a place, but to experience it anew.

Projection did not lose its power. Audiences became tired of repeated formats in which spectacle replaced artistic authorship.
