1. About This Policy

MOLTEN.ART is operated by Di Stefano Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 69 628 360 896), trading as MOLTEN.ART. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you use this website or contact us directly.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following personal information:

Name and email address when you submit an enquiry through a form on this website
Organisation name, role, organisation website or professional profile, and project details you voluntarily provide — including, where relevant, project type, engagement type, project stage, location, timeline, indicative budget range, currency and what the budget is intended to cover
Where you submit or update an artist profile, the professional information and media you choose to supply
Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, pages requested and referring pages, recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider

We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information, and you should not include sensitive personal or commercially confidential information in an initial enquiry. We do not accept file uploads through these enquiry forms, and we do not ask for payment details through this website. If we need supporting materials such as a brief or site plans, we request them from you directly by email once your enquiry has been reviewed.

3. Cookies and Analytics

Analytics on this website are optional and off by default. MOLTEN.ART uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and, on enquiry forms, whether a form was viewed, started and completed — but Google Analytics only loads, and only sets a cookie or receives any data, after you actively choose “Allow analytics” in the notice shown on your first visit. If you choose “Decline,” or make no choice at all, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookie is set. We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels.

Your analytics preference is stored locally in your browser, not as a cookie, and applies only to that browser on that device. You can change it at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer of every page.

Analytics events recorded from an enquiry form never include your name, email address, organisation, message text, uploaded files (we do not accept uploads) or any private information about an artist. Only categorical information is recorded — for example, which form was used, a general enquiry category, or a broad budget range — never the specific details you typed.

The only information stored on your device is a temporary draft saved in your own browser while you are completing an artist profile update, which is cleared when you finish or close the tab; your analytics preference, stored until you change it; and, only if you have chosen “Allow analytics,” standard identifiers set by Google Analytics.

As with any website, our hosting provider also receives and logs standard request data — including your IP address, browser and device details and the pages requested — in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse, regardless of your analytics choice. That is described in the sections below.

4. How We Use Your Information

Personal information is used solely to:

Review your enquiry — including the context, timeline, budget and site you have described — before deciding on an appropriate next step
Respond to your enquiry or request
Communicate with you about potential or ongoing engagements
Where appropriate, and only after review, share relevant enquiry details with the selected or a relevant artist so they can consider the opportunity
Publish and maintain artist profiles where you have submitted them for that purpose
Maintain the security and reliability of this website

MOLTEN.ART is a curated discovery platform, not an artist agency or representative. We conduct an initial review of every enquiry before making an introduction; submitting an enquiry does not guarantee an introduction to any artist.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

This website relies on the following service providers, each of which maintains its own privacy policy:

Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Receives your IP address, browser details and request information for every page you visit.
Sanity — content management. Stores the website’s published content, and stores artist enquiry, artist profile and general contact submissions made through this site.
Resend — email delivery. Enquiry submissions are sent through Resend and delivered to MOLTEN.ART.
Vimeo — video playback. A Vimeo player is only loaded if you play or hover a video; until then no request is made to Vimeo and no data is shared with it.

6. International Data Processing

Some of these providers process or store information outside Australia. Vercel, Sanity, Resend and Vimeo are all headquartered in the United States and operate infrastructure in multiple countries, which may include the United States and the European Union. Where information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy and with applicable privacy law. We cannot guarantee the specific country in which any individual provider stores a given record at a given time.

7. Data Retention

We apply different retention periods depending on what the information relates to:

Unsuccessful or abandoned enquiries — retained for up to 24 months from the last meaningful interaction, then deleted or de-identified, unless still reasonably required (for example, because a conversation is ongoing).
Confirmed projects, contracts and financial records — retained separately, for as long as required for the continuing business or legal purpose they serve.
Suspected spam and security-related records — retained for up to 90 days, unless needed for longer to investigate an ongoing issue.

These are maximum periods, not defaults: information is not kept for the maximum period simply because it is administratively convenient, and is reviewed and deleted or de-identified sooner where it is no longer reasonably needed. You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond subject to any information we must retain for an ongoing business, contractual or legal purpose.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your information
Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

9. Complaints

If you believe your privacy has not been respected, please contact us at hello@molten.art. We will review your concern and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

10. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. No method of internet transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
