HALOS

Some installations rely on scale to create impact.
Others rely on structure.
SpY’s HALOS, presented in Florence by @brightfestival, is a large-scale kinetic work composed of suspended reflective discs rotating in continuous motion.
As light moves across the surface, reflections overlap and fragment, creating a constantly shifting visual field.
There is no fixed image.
Only relationships between light, material, and movement.
The result is a work that evolves with the viewer, changing depending on position and perspective.
A precise and disciplined approach to large-scale spatial work.
Each reflective disc is a physical component, yet the shifting reflections can make the overall composition difficult to read as a single object. As the discs turn, the viewer sees successive arrangements rather than one stable image. The movement also draws attention to the space between the suspended elements.
